This Fairies‘ Story

I drew the design for Potty several years ago (without the pot). I imagined that fairy pulling up a dandelion would fit the typical Fantasywire style. She’s slightly comical, has emotion and visual illusion. The reason I nave made her was because I could imagine how to frame it. To have her standing on the ground would kill the spectacle I wanted to create. When we were at an RHS show the neighbouring stand was selling oversized greek earns and elaborate plant pots. I asked if they could make me an oversized regular plant pot and they did. The pot lifts the fairy off the ground and provides the framing I’d been looking for.

You can buy this fairy

This fairy was made as an exhibition piece for display at Trentham Gardens, but she belongs to me and therefore could be sold. The arrangement I have with Trentham Gardens is that if I sell one of the exhibits that belong to me, I’ll provide them with an alternative replacement fairy and give them enough notice to update their media and materials. So anyone purchasing this fairy may have to wait a 2 or 3 months.  I must add that Potty is quite difficult to transport and this must be taken into consideration. Having said all that if you still want to buy her you are welcome to email me: Buy Potty
