Elira

Elira is a stainless steel wire sculpture of a fairy inspired by the elegance and poise of rhythmic gymnastics. Capturing a fleeting moment of movement, forever suspended in dance. She balances strength and grace in a dynamic pose, her copper ribbon swirling like wind given form.

Formed totally by hand from stainless steel wire and copper. Her copper leaf skirt and ribbon have been lacquered to withstand all weathers without tarnishing.

Elira is a stainless steel wire sculpture of a fairy capturing a fleeting moment of movement, forever

suspended in dance. Inspired by the elegance and poise of rhythmic gymnastics, she balances

strength and grace in a dynamic pose, her copper ribbon swirling like wind given form.

She is forged from thousands of wires and hours of shaping. Her form is delicate but certain — just

like the moments in life that take your breath away. Formed totally by hand from stainless steel

and copper. Her copper leaf skirt and ribbon have been lacquered to withstand all weathers

without tarnishing. This handcrafted wire sculpture is a striking piece of art, designed to bring a

touch of enchantment to any setting. Made from stainless steel wire she is weather-resistant, the

figure is carefully woven to create a lifelike sense of motion and grace. Each element—from the expressive stance to her flowing ribbon has been thoughtfully designed

and hand crafted. This sculpture is an ideal piece for anyone looking to add a magical focal point to

their space.

Elira is the only one of her kind. No copies, no second editions. Just her — one perfect leap, forever

suspended in time.

The name Elira has roots in Albanian, where it means “free” or “liberated” — a perfect reflection

of the sculpture’s form and spirit. It carries a sense of lightness and motion, evoking the feeling of

flight, dance, and the freedom of expressive movement.

Chosen for her graceful, airborne pose and the fluid sweep of her ribbon, Elira is more than a

figure — she is a moment of freedom captured in metal. Her name speaks to the balance between

strength and softness, discipline and lightness — the very essence of rhythmic gymnastics, and the

quiet power within every fairy-like soul.

This sculpture was made by Adam Wight (me). I have been learning my father Robin Wight’s

method of wire sculpture and making them to his standard. Although this one is completely my

design and creation, I have made it in the workshop along side my father Robin whilst he has been

making his own sculptures. So he has kept and eye on the quality of this finished piece.

I realise that some buyers may be looking for a “Robin Wight” sculpture, if so then Robin’s

sculptures will be listed on the website when they become available. Otherwise this is a authentic

FantasyWire ltd sculpture made by Adam Wight.
