Elysian
Elysian
Elysium is a mythical place where the good people go. The final resting place of the heroic and the pure. The word came to mean “a place or state of bliss or delight” Its a sort of pre-religion heaven. Elysian is a residence of Elysium. She lives is a permanent state of bliss.
She’s actually a remake of a previous sculpture that I called “No Words”, although Elysian is a bit smaller. No Words used to be displayed in the Italian gardens at Trentham until she was sold. Trentham asked me to collaborate with them on a project to create a display garden as RHS Tatton Park in July. We thought recreating this design of fairy would work perfectly to showcase Trentham’s gardening and my fairies.
Elysian will be available for sale immediately after the show.
