Robin Wight’s FantasyWire Fairies Book

For years people have been asking us to compile a book of the photographs we share. Its now 10 years since the first wire fairy, so by popular demand we have created a book of all of our best images.

Robin’s description of the book:
“People think that making wire fairies is my art, it’s not. My art starts with an idea of an image of a fairy which tells a story. I make a wire sculpture so I can take the photographs that tell that story. I then present those photographs to the world. To some extend this book represent my art more than the wire fairies themselves. This book is a photographic celebration of ten years of my art. Over those ten years I’ve taken thousands of photos and it seemed a good time to compile some of the best images. The book explains how it all started and follows the general chronological progression of the fairies. The book has been arranged more around the photographs and the fairies that complement each other. So it doesn’t contain every fairy I’ve ever made, but its does contain all the best photographs. Where ever possible, I’ve included my design sketches as its always one of my challenges to capture the photo that matched the design idea in my head. You’ll be able to judge how close I came.”

The book has a high quality black Vivella (moleskin like) cover and comes with a placeholder ribbon so you can easily locate your favourite fairy.

The book contains:
The fairy story of how Robin Wight started FantasyWire and Robin’s aspirations as to where it all might lead.
104 pages
168 images
56 different fairy characters
65 unique fairy sculptures
29 of Robin’s original design drawings.

ISBN : 978-1-83853-860-6
