Wire sculpture support Rod

A common question that we receive is “how do you get our fairies to stand on one leg?”, the answer is a supporting rod.

Just simply adapt it to whichever fairy pose you wish to sculpt and bend to match your skeleton and attach with wire.

Description

Wire sculpture support Rod – used in the creation of a standing wire sculpture.

Available in 8″/16″ (approx 20cm/40cm)

A common question that we receive is “how do you get our fairies to stand on one leg?”, the answer is a supporting rod. So if you have purchased one of our kits/skeletons and are planning on creating a sculpture that is standing on one leg (or arm) then you will need one of these rods to do it.

This listing is for a 4mm stainless steel support rod used for creating a standing wire fairy sculpture (see photos). You can purchase an 8″ inch rod (approximately 20 cm) or a 16″ inch rod (approximately 40cm) depending on what size sculpture you are wanting to create, note: the rod will arrive straight.

If you have one of our 16″ kits/skeletons then you can simply bend the rod to match your skeletons pose then use some wire to attach the rod (see photos above).
If you have one of our 8″ kits/skeletons then you can do the same and bend the rod to match your skeleton then use some wire to attach the rod. With this size skeleton though we would recommend that you unravel the chosen leg/arm that your sculpture will stand on, and use the rod to replace that limb.

For more help with skeleton making you can check out the ‘How To’ tutorial videos on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCivp4n7vjN26DgqYmXocuTg.

!!Safety Warning!!

PLEASE NOTE THIS ITEM IS NOT A COMPLETED FAIRY SCULPTURE, BUT THE SUPPORT ROD ONLY.

Our social media pages are a great place to look for inspiration. We also love to receive pictures of fairy sculptures completed using our kits, so please feel free to send them over. Happy sculpting!
